  • Ginger: helps with gastrointestinal issues as well a potent anti-inflammatory agent

  • Lemon: Vitamin C, antioxidants, and anti-cancer properties

  • Raw/Local Honey: Vitamins B, C, amino acids, antibacterial, antifungal, and antiviral

  • And of course, your favorite teas, loose or bagged.

You can have other ingredients on hand to suite for taste such as elderberry, cinnamon, cayenne pepper, and the list can go on.

Ginger & Turmeric with Lemon

Bring 4 cups of water to a boil in a small saucer. Add sliced or grated ginger, 1 freshly squeezed lemon, two tablespoons of turmeric, and I like to add a pinch of cayenne pepper to boost metabolism. Bring boil down to a simmer for about 3 minutes, and then turn off stove and allow it to steep for a few minutes before pouring you a cup. Add honey for a natural sweetener and to soothe that raspy cough.

Lavender Elderberry & Echinacea Tea

For this tea you will need a tea ball or some tea bags to fill...fill your tea ball/bag with a tsp of lavender, a tsp of echinacea, and a tsp of dried elderberries. Pour boiling water over your herbs and let it steep for no less than 3 minutes. Then add 1 tbs of honey, and ¼ of a lemon.

Of course, overtime measurements will be a thing of the past for you, so you can always adjust for taste or need. Be safe out there and protect yourself! We have to stay ahead and keep our immune system, kept!
